i have been playing drums for about six years and have tried tuning my drums to a variety of different sounds, to find the tuning method and sound i liked. After tuning my set with this tuner, i have the best sounding drum set i have ever had. People in other reviews say that the tuner does not work, they say they tune a lug and come back to it and it is not how they tuned it. Well this is because they did not read the direction on how to use the tuner. This tuner is the best, i highly recommend this tuner to save a lot of time tunning your drums and to have a uniform sounding kit.

Everything about this made my drums sound so much better. I've never heard all of my drums sound so equal and balanced. It's awesome and I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants their drum heads to sound amazing!

this is a great tool for working drummers. quick drumhead change and accurate fast tuning. repeat your settings everytime. the toms ring true and full, floor toms sound deep and thunderous, bass drums are fat and snare drums pop. with the right drumheads even a low-end drumset can sound good. i have used this product for 2 years and has always worked wonders for all my 3 drumsets. i do go around twice, top and bottom to be sure the tuning rods are consistent

ok this device does give accurate readings of head tension but what i have noticed is that after im done matching the tensions on my lugs, ill go back and check the readings again and all of them will be different, and this happens to me in using the method of tuning the drum and then perfecting the tensions in the star formation. this makes the whole process really frustrating and the drum will literally sound worse afterwords. this product also seems to be very fragile while at the same time very heavy, my guess is 2-3lbs. also, the probe leaves small indents on snare side heads. i am completely dissatisfied with this tuner and i think is way over priced.

I was having a difficult time tuning a new snare drum so I decided to check this devise out. As soon as I understood how it worked I had my snare drum tuned like a pro in under five minutes! It seemed like an hour went by when I was tuning by ear. I then tuned the rest of the kit using the dial and had a way better sounding drum set. All those years went by doing it the hard way... If your new to drums, if your buying a drum or set or if your looking for a quick, precise way to tune your drums this dial is for you! It comes with a tuning chart with recommended settings. My drums sound professionally tuned. Tuning my whole set took about 35-45 minutes and I never used a stick! worth every dollar and more (don't tell em' I said that though)
