I bought it. It arrived. Installed. Pluged in the Am. No sound! What did I do wrong or what I didn't do?

This is a pretty good pickup for the money. The only disadvantage is that it doesn't have adjustable pole pieces, which tends to amplify the high e and b strings more than the rest. I usually try to put a spacer on the lower clamp to adjust for this so the e and b are further away than the rest. But overall a good deal for the money.

The best acoustic pup for the money!

I wanted a magnetic pickup for an Art & Lutherie dreadnaught and didn't have a whole lot of money, about $50-$100 to work with. I checked the reviews for all the magnetic pickups in this range and to my surprise the Maverick had the best reviews. I see why now. To me, unless you are buying a L.R. Baggs or Sunrise, magnetic soundhole pickups are all the same. For the price you can't beat this pickup. The cable is pretty generic, but I cut it and wired it to an endpin jack. Problem solved. Very low noise, great punch and clarity even on the wound strings. Sounds great playing slide and makes harmonics jump when slapped. I'll definitely buy another.

Not bad for the $$ but don't expect much.

I had this pickup for about 2 years, It did the job, but its difficult to get the right sound if you don't have the ears for it. The padding for the soundhole fell off, a little krazy glue did the trick. For the money, its not bad, but like I said, don't expect too much.

Bought it used because I needed a second acoustic pickup. I put it in my Martin D-15. I run it through a Behringer 7 band equalizer. It works beautifully. It makes no noise and I couldn't be more pleased. Well worth the price.
