these are the best picks in yhe world if you play bass. i still use fender for guitar but these are my gotos for bass. i personnaly go for the 3 mil. but they also come in 1 and 2 mil. 1 mil. being about the same as a medium guitar pick

I have problems with most guitar picks. I strum extremly hard and my picks snap within a couple hours of playing. when i first tried out the big stubby pick size 3.0 mm, I knew i would play these forever. I recomend these to all guitarists. these picks practically roll off the strings. its also a great value at a dozen for about 10 dollars.

Next to medium Fender confetti picks, these Big Stubby picks are my favourite picks. They do wear a bit faster than some other picks I've used. Then again though, I was playing 8-12 hours a day with the same pick. They give you good control like Jazz III's, but unlike the III's, you don't lose dynamics with the Big Stubby. I have the 1mm picks. One pack has lasted me nearly 2 years. Even when they wear, it's still usable. These are certainly some nice picks.

I like to experiment with different types of picks. After all, guitar picks come in a huge variety. Typically I use Snarling Dogs Brain Picks 0.88 mm. I really like those for the gritty surface they have. The Big Stubbies unfortunately don't have that same grip or shape, so it was a little different for me to use them. Compared to traditionally shaped picks, I like these a lot more. I have the 2mm set. They are the thickest picks I have ever used and based on the strength of the 2mm, the 3mm must be like playing with a nickel (without the tinny sound). They're great for bass picking since they don't wear down unless you're putting a whole steroid pumped arm into your strumming. The material it's made of makes a subtle, but noticeable clink-type noise when it hits the strings for me, only if I'm strumming lightly, though. They have slipped out of my fingers before when they got pretty sweaty. As I said before, they don't measure up to the grip of my usual picks. However, they can take a great deal of damage and are real precise when playing the technical stuff, due to the point they come to. These are gonna be in my pick arsenal for a while I think.
