Only picks I use

This are the best guitar picks I have have ever played with. I bought them because I was so sick of playing jazz solos finger-style. They give me the speed and volume that I can't get with my finger, but they don't take the warm jazz tone at all. They work wonderfully for other styles too--metal, blues--anything I play. These picks are the best.

My pic of choice for jazz or anything technical

The whole recent artical featured in a major guitar magazine about the Jazz III pic was interesting. I was already using the Jazz III XL. I found some of the same benefits other known players suggested. Improved accuracy and speed attributed to the pics stiffness and pointed edge. You don't lose too much warmth either as this pic is thick and if you angle it a little it still sounds warm. I love this pic. The other Jazz III are too small to hold the pick comfortably. It is not natural or comfortable to keep the small joint on your pic hand bent all the time. That is why I would recommend these over the smaller ones. They also last a long time, I usually end of losing mine before I wear them out. And I will play up to 6 hours a day. The only down side to a pointed pic is that they are not the best if your going to do a bunch of full chord strumming with. These are meant for speed, and accuracy.

An Excellent Compromise

I think these picks are great, they're as sharp as standard Jazz III's, but they're big enough so people that actually have fingers can play on them. At first I bought a few just to make the transition to the regular Jazz III's, but when I finally did decide to switch, I found I liked the XL's much more. They offer the same feeling that the smaller ones do, but they still feel like a regular pick for us traditionalists out there. Anyways, they're great because they're easy to play on, they're quick, and they don't wear out. They're a little extra money sometimes, but, don't let that fool you, you get your money's worth.

I had been using the original jazz III's, but they're so tiny that my fingers would hit the string. I tried ultex, delrin, gator grips...you name it. These picks are the best. You can't go back after using the jazz picks. Not only do they give you great control and speed with lead guitar playing, but you'd be surprised how great they are for rhythms too. Get 'em now.
