Let me just start off by saying that I LOOOOOOVE Metallica (actually the reason I started playing bass, you just gotta love Cliff Burton), and I also love Rob Trujillo. I was on this site looking for some new strings a few months ago, and when I stumbled across these, I knew I just had to get them. I ordered them, strung up my bass, tuned them, and was blown away. Literally. These strings sound so clear that your bass actually sounds louder when played through your amp. On my old strings, I used to get a kind of funny buzzing noise coming from the 16th through 18th fret of the D string. Not anymore. These strings are amazing. They sound unbelievable. They have a nice and wet funky sound when played clean, but also an amazingly heavy distorted sound. After playing these, I'm gonna get the 5 string set next.
