Dunlop Ultex Jazz III Guitar Picks let you dig in and grind, then jump to delicate, fluttering lines. Impossibly hard, yet absolutely responsive, these picks will reveal every flicker of emotion in your playing and still add brutal bite to the heaviest power cord you can unleash. Ultex picks are also virtually indestructible, hanging tough through countless pick slides, windmills, and other insanity.
The revolutionary Ultex material from which Jazz III Guitar Picks are crafted telegraphs the slightest contact, giving you an almost intuitive feel for the strings. With unprecedented resilience and snap, the Jazz III's release is so clean that individual notes sing out and artificial harmonics can be fired off at will. Practically weightless, with flawless, silky edges, the Ultex Jazz III doesn't emulate anything. It's the most versatile, expressive pick Dunlop has ever made.

As a guitarist and bassist it's safe to say I've tried just about every pick out there. I've even tried things that aren't actually picks, just to try and get the ultimate feel and response. So one day, knee deep in the endless search we all go through, I found these little guys, said 'why not' along with about 10 other types of picks, in the end, this is the pick. I gave all of my other picks to a friend cause this one kicks ass. If you want a strong, fast, versatile and responsive pick, look no further.

Can't Believe I'm Writing About a Pick

Silly, I know, it's just a pick, but... I've been using Jazz III's for years, and I love them. The only problem is that I go from jazz comping to Sonic Youth/My Bloody Valentine-style strumming, and within a couple gigs or within a couple weeks, my Jazz IIIs look a lot like Jazz I's or II's (i.e.: no point). The picks wear on me in such a way that the two edges begin to taper until the tip just disappears. No problem, it's just that for lead work, it's nice to have a point, which means I buy a pack every month or so...the only problem is when my leads start to get sloppy cause I forgot to check on the age of the pick in my pocket. Well, the Ultec has a slightly longer tip, and the material is much easier to grip. I'm still noticing wear in about a day or two, but it's significantly reduced and high up on the pick, which means I don't have to adjust when playing fast runs. They're an old favorite simply made better.

I like the short stubbiness of the Jazz III, but I LOVE the tone of the Tortex stubbies. The problem is that the Jazz doesn't give me the tone I want to hear and the Tortex doesn't have the grip. Enter the Ultex.... Well I've only had one of these for a week or so, but so far I love what I'm hearing. It sure seems to offer me the best of both owrlds. Also, I believe it is just a little bit bigger than the Jazz and, for me, a little easier to strum with. Buying one pack won't kill you and you might find it to be a great pick like I did.

Great Pick!

Features: It's a guitar pick. It does what a guitar pick is made to do. Quality: What makes this different from your everyday Jazz III is the material. The standard Jazz III picks would eventually slide from my grip after playing for awhile because of the sweat. That doesn't happen with these. The Ultex material naturally grips well with your fingers. I can play all day and they don't budge. Hold it in between your thumb and finger and try to snap your fingers. The pick will simply NOT MOVE. It has never slipped out of my grip. Value: $4 is a good deal for 6 of these. They're tough and durable. Not sure how long they last, but they're all I've used for a month and I've had no problems. Overall: My favorite pick I've come across to date. I'm in a metal band, but I play many different styles of music with different people and this pick works great for all of it.
