I've been using the standard Ultex picks for a couple of years now and didn't think I could find something to replace them...until now. The contoured and sharper tip helps me pick faster and cleaner for lead and rhythm playing. I'm using the 1.0. I'm probalby going to keep using the lighter gauge .73 Ultex standard for acoustic playing though.

Best picks I've found

I've been using standard Ultex for a while, but these really are amazing. They helped a lot with my alternate picking. Great picks. Just wish they had a little texture to the tops. I end up marking them with a razor in a criss-cross pattern and that works fine.

I really like these picks. The tone is refreshingly sharp and of course, you can pick really fast. I am always trying to make things multi-purpose, so I tried to open a package, and about half of it broke off. I guess that they could be brittle so you can pick faster with it, but don't open mail with it.

I've been using Ultex for years. Best material for picks I've ever tried. Personally, I like the .73 thickness. Ultex gives the perfect balance of "slick" and "grab" when playing.

Thought I would give the "Sharp" version a try. Not for me. If you like jazz picks, but prefer a more conventional shape, give these a try. Otherwise, get the standard Ultex picks.

I first used these picks about 6 years ago, they were on the shelf next to the Tortex version, and so I thought I would give them a try.. It took me 2 years to go through those first 6.... and another 5 years to go through the next pack I bought. These are the only picks I buy now.
