The Dunlop Victor is the best capo available. It is easy to use, has a low profile and gets a great buzz-free sound.

Slide player's capo

This capo is great for slide players. Although, not a one hand operation, it stays put and stays out of the way. I use it every gig and have one in each gig bag.

Best capo available...

A capo is an integral part of my playing and I've used nearly every type out there over many years. The Victor is by far the best, in terms of both clarity of sound and ease of adjustment. The pre-Dunlop originals have a smoother mechanism, but the new ones work well enough. The Victor gives the clearest tone of any capo on my Taylors, including the new overpriced G7th capo (although it does require two hands to set up).

HOWEVER, the Victor comes in both curved and flat models. For most acoustic guitars you need the FLAT one. The arc of the curved model is too high and will sound really bad unless you crank it down way too hard. (I suspect that this is what happened to the reviewer below...) So, I recommend trying the Victor, but make sure you get the FLAT model for acoustic guitar.

Really worth the money?

I purchased this capo a while back and stored it away for the time when i could use it. As soon as i put it on, i found that it was so hard to tighten that i was forced to use an oven mit to save my fingers from getting sore before even beginning to play. I also found that this capo doesnt hold down all of the strings tightly enough to get a clean sound. Often the string on the open end of the device was muffed by the rubber. After minutes of trying to figure out the best way to get it to work, i gave up on changing the key...and gave up on the capo itself. im fed up with it and i recommend that you dont buy it or that they alter the device itself

Thin, doesn't get in the way. Doesn't bend the strings. Have two...will buy more. Over time the screws comes loose...don't work as smoothly as when new.
