I purchased this pickup for a custom build. I have a love affair with the Fender "P", and I decided to build a custom for playing "metal" I play all styles, and I just thought most of my others didn't fit the "look" for metal. I initially was going to do p/j combination, but I have one already. Then I thought, I'll do a p-bass with a MM pickup. GOOD IDEA!!! the final product is an all flame built form scratch body, a moses p/graphite neck with sharkfin inlays, ernie ball power slinkies, and THIS pickup. No eq, just the factory vol and tone pots. (I like simple) and low B tuned. Good god, what power and clarity. MONSTER lows, and pristine highs!!! I would defintely buy another!
