Elixir Nanoweb wound acoustic guitar strings are sheathed in a thin polymer coating that retains a natural feel while protecting the windings from the gunk that shortens their life and ruins tone. The coating gives them a smoother feel and reduces finger squeaks. 12-56.

Great sound. They feel good. And they last a long time. Order your Elixirs today.

Best String on the Market!

I cannot praise these strings enough. One set lasts me 5 months, easy. Granted that i play electric more than acoustic, but if i played my acoustic more often (as in an hour every day), it would probably be between 3-4 months, although don't take my word on that. Like another reviewer said, these strings really do bring out the best in your guitar. they make my epiphone acoustic (which is alreaedy a decent instrument) compete with my friends' taylors. the sound is a little lacking in bass, but that's the guitar. with my latest set, i broke a couple of strings (my fault) and replaced them with uncoated d-addarios. whoever says that d'addarios are superior to elixirs are either crazy or ignorant. the evidence is in my guitar. already, after a few days, the d'addarios have gotten dull in both color and tone, while the much older elixirs still sound bright as ever. the reason why i gave it a 4.5 for value is because these strings are quite expensive, but they are pretty much worth it. buy some!!!

Fantastic All-purpose string

I string my Breedlove Atlas Stage C250/EF with these and it sounds better than some $3000 acoustics. These bring out the best in your guitar and last 2-3x longer than other strings. With these, I only re-string about once every 6-8 weeks, whereas before with non-coated strings I was putting on new ones every 2-3weeks. Fingerpicking, flatpicking, strumming, these are great for it all. My action is quite low and I've got fingers harder than anything, so I'm thinking of switching up to 13-56, although these have been my choice guage for years on multiple guitars.

Woke my guitar up!

I have these on my Dean Exotiaca FM. They are a brighter string for sure, but man, that .056 sure woke up the bass on it! I play a lot of fingerstyle blues and these are pretty well balanced in my opinion. They really bring some good sound to a laminated soundboard. A little tough to hold down some barre chords, but the volume increase of a heavier string is worth it. Give them a try. I'm glad I did.

By Far The Longest Lasting and Best Sounding!

Ever since I started playing guitar i've been very experimental in my tunings, and due to that my strings would constantly break. I switched to Elixirs about 5 years ago and have changed my strings only once every two years. Yes, you heard it and read it, ONCE every TWO years! I constantly play and beat my strings to death yet my guitar sounds as B-E-A-Utiful as it did when I first put on the strings. I highly recommend these strings. They last!

Brite Clean Tone For Months!

Not only do these strings sound great, but they keep their tone for months. I put in 20+ hours on my Taylor each week, and I have very acidic hands. With that said, I was dead'ening and rusting out a set of D'Addario's in less than a week. Now with the Nanoweb technology I change my strings once a month, and have more money to use elsewhere for my musical habit. Now they make them in Phosphor Bronze!! These are the best strings ever.
