Elixir Nanoweb wound acoustic guitar strings are sheathed in a thin polymer coating that retains a natural feel while protecting the windings from the gunk that shortens their life and ruins tone. The coating gives them a smoother feel and reduces finger squeaks. 13-56.

Great sound. They feel good. And they last a long time. Order your Elixirs today.

Great Strings!

These strings are fantastic. They sound a bit hollow at first, but after a week, they settle in and get some bite in the low end and a more crisp, snappy tone in the midrange. Also, the nanoweb coating makes these strings easy to slide on, and, not to mention, last for months. I play a lot of songs in open tunings and these strings do great when tuned below standard tuning. The only reason I gave them a 4.5 and not a 5 is their durability. I would not recommend these strings to someone who frequently changes tunings because the strings get fatigued and break relatively easily. Regardless, I would recommend that when you put on the G string especially, you give it more winds than you usually would so that the final winds are on the the smooth bottom of the peg. Anyway, the bottom line is, if you tend to stick to a particular tuning, these are great strings.

I don't really know what to think of these strings. The coating is nice once you get used to it, but I feel like you could just as easily get used to regular uncoated strings. When I first put these on my guitar it added to the volume and tone, but at these same time took something from the tone that I missed. I have broken g strings but only normally when the strings are getting old. Now I'm back to d'addarios. For me the strings are a novelty type of thing and seem pretty nice and I might try them on other guitars in the future but not for this one. Try them, you might love em

I broke the D string within 2 weeks of putting these on. I haven't broke an acoustic string in 5 years. Terrible for the price. They do sound good, if you can get them to last.

I use these on my acoustic guitar both in D-G-C-F-A-D tunning and in B-E-A-D-F#-B and they work just fine! I never played on a set of strings that was more precise in defining the sound and endurant, than these... Buy them, you won't be sorry!
