My parents gave me one of these with my first (Precision) bass 10 years ago. Since then, I've amassed 5 more guitars/basses, all with different straps, and they all suck compared to this one. I usually just put this one on whatever I'm playing. The leather has stretched a little around the holes, but that's after 10 years and it's still perfectly usable. A friend just gave me a Gibson Les Paul Gold Top last night as a wedding gift, so I went on here to get a strap, saw they're on sale, and bought three of them. Great deal, can't be beat.

The Ernie Ball Strap is a great strap. I never practice sitting down, and even after a half hour it still is pretty comfy. Due to its material, I couldn't see using this strap during a gig (esp. using a Les Paul or a bass) as under those conditions it would probably hurt your shoulder. I tried this on a very heavy bass (My Epiphone EB-3) and it just kills your shoulder. However, when I play guitar, I like to sling mine very low, go I extended the strap to it's full 68" length, and it put my guitars at a very nice height. I only use this strap with one particular guitar (My Epiphone EM-2 EX) so therefore I bought Schaller straplocks, and they work like a charm. To sum it up, it's not the most comfy strap but it will definetly last you a couple years, and for the price, you might as well pick up 1 or 2 for backup straps.

I got mine as a spare about 6 months ago. so far its held up extremely well, the red looks great with my ibanez. it hasn't stretched at all, and the lether ends are top notck. I use it without strap locks, and the only time its ever slipped off is when i raise the neck of my bass, so its almost parallel with my spine, but it was at the horn and i had my hand on the neck, so no damage was done. Great high quality strap at a great price.

"Great for tall guitarists and players who like their axe low."

The latter pretty much summarizes how I rock with the guitar! This strap has been my first strap and 3 years later its still in one piece! This strap is so good that I bought 2 more for my bass guitar and my Explorer and so far the only thing you need with this strap is a sturdy strap lock! This strap has been through hell with me from being hit on the face when flinging my guitar(It really hurts you know), to hitting the bass and lead guitarist when flinging my guitar(they were in the way)! If you want the best value for your money, this strap and a Dunlop straplock is your answer!

Great deal on a basic guitar strap. Nothing Fancy. Leather ends are of good quality considering the price.
