Excellent Strings

Opinions of string are usually subjective, and thus string reviews are all over the place. If you ask me, these are the best acoustic strings out there. They're vibrant, resonant, and don't break the bank. As with all non-coated strings, they lose life after a few months; all strings die eventually. Bottom line, they sound awesome and I've never had one break on me.

Worst string life from any brand I've used

These strings sound good when you first put them on your guitar, but within a month they'll be completely rusty and useless. It's okay if you don't mind spending money on strings often, but if you're like me and you would rather go 6 months without needing to change strings, go for D'Addario.
I set my Martin up with D'Addarios back in November, and the high e string broke just a few days ago. I only had an Ernie Ball high e to replace it with, and it's already rusted after only a few days' use! The other D'Addario strings have a tiny bit of gunk on them, but none of them rusted yet. Heck, even the broken string wasn't rusted yet. It's clear what the better string brand is.

I honestly have never been wowed by strings. I've been disappointed by strings that were downright horrible like Fatties, but these are unbelievable. A. the packaging smells like maple syrup, B. they are packaged in a sealed plastic, much like a deck of Baseball cards or something like that would come, C. they feel great and sound awesome right away.
I rreally think these made a difference and will opt for them nearly every time I can now. I had previously been playing the Musicians Gear brand, because they were cheap and seemed to do the trick.

D E A D

Was looking for an inexpensive string that would hopefully last a little while. I did like the gauge of string, I usually play light medium gauge, which can be hard to find in a good brand sometimes. Bought three sets because of the good price, put a set on my epiphone acoustic tuned and played. Fingers were black from residue after a few minutes, which is never a good sign for longevity. Usually play 3 to 4 times a week, mostly on weekends, strings were not on for only a week or two with very little play and they were D E A D, dead. No volume to them much at all. Still have 2 sets haven't even put on either one of my guitars, because there is no point. Would not recommend to anyone. You get what you pay for in this case anyway which is, not much of anything. Really like elixirs, but have had alot of trouble with them breaking. Anyway still lokking for that great string at a reasonable price.

Not the usual string

I picked these strings off the shelf simply because of their price. I would never have realized they had such brilliant tone or resonance. They're loud and defined with a subtle twang sound. Good choice for anyone that wants clean acoustics.
