Best Accoustic strings ever

As a lead player I have been looking for strings that are light enough to bend and are heavy enough to maintain that great accoustic sound. IMHO these strings do the job. I've had these on all of my accoustics now and would never go with anything else.

Worst Acoustic Strings I've ever bought

I swear by EB strings for my electric but I wasted my money buying a two pack of these strings. The have the same EB feel (light and easy to work with) but they sound like crap.

I also had the same problem with my G string not ever sounding right. When I first heard the strings after my first tuning I thought I screwed something up. I thought maybe I tuned my G an octave too low. But after double checking everything was wound and tuned properly.

Can't wait to get rid of these things. Makes me not even want to play my acoustic.

Like the other reviews they do decrease your volume, but that doesn't matter. They give a warm tone and they play fantastic. It gives my '79 Sigma DR-28 a beautiful resonance. They bend perfect.

First: Understand that you may be giving up a little volume putting these on a guitar other than that they are insane (in a good way)

I have them on 3 acoustics currently: An alvarez, a deep bowl ovation, and a Gianinni from the late 60's, they sound good on every guitar. They are a bit quiet but for most situations it has little negative effect.

The real benefit to these strings is the ability to get electric style bends on your acoustic without having to use finger steroids. I love the sound, and the feel. I remember a kid I used to play with threw electric strings on his acoustic out of curiosity a few years back and loved the feel and hated the tone, this is the solution.

They don't give you the overtones perhaps or classic sound of a 12 or 13 but they come close and at a playability that is ridiculous.

Try them

I re-discovered these strings years ago now. They are some of the easiest playing and best sounding strings out there IMHO. They have a warm crisp tone with lots of sweet overtones. Because of the gauge these strings aren't the best for those of you who are hard strumers. I use these strings on an Alvarez Yari and led a Church band for quite a while. They performed flawlessly and I never had a problem with broken strings. If you string up your guitar and stretch the strings properly they settle in quickly and stay in tune. Great sounding strings in my book!
