Well, if you're lucky enough to own a nice acoustic bass guitar, these are some strings to look at. They do have a little bit of a metallic sound to them, at least in my mind. But nothing to keep me from really enjoying them. They have great sustain and a nice balance of low and bright tone. Haven't used them on an electric, but as far as acoustic goes, these are at least a must try. For the money, it is worth it just too say you have Ernie Ball strings ;)
