I have always used "brand X" for my 12 string acoustics. And always the smallest they had, which was 10's. After spotting these 9's I knew I had to give them a try! On my electrics I usually used Slinkys, so I was familiar with the great sound they make. My main 12 string guitar sounded good, but was a bugger to do any barre chords. So I put the 9's on and was amazed from the start. I thought because they would be smaller size, the tone would suffer and favor the treble end even more. But I was wrong! In fact, it doesn't sound as high pitched/tinny as with the other strings. And it sure didn't hurt the bass end at all! Plus the mid-range seems to sound more colorful than what it did before. Not to mention that barre chords are no problem at all now! Sure brought new life to my old friend.

I went to the shop to replace the strings on my new Taylor. The guy behind the counter suggest I try phopher bronze instead of nanoweb, so I agreed. Once he was done stringing it up the sound improvement was noticeable immediately. The guitar was much louder and more resonant than before. I would recommend these strings for any Taylor, or any guitar at that matter. plus they're half the price of elixir.
