Ernie Ball Slinky Acoustic Guitar Strings feature patented coated Titanium RPS Technology that resists rust and grime for bright and powerful tone time after time.

These titanium coated Slinky guitar strings are stronger and longer-lasting than traditional strings-either coated and uncoated strings. That's thanks in part to Ernie Ball's exclusive protective coating on both the wrap wire and the plain strings as well as a patented winding of titanium wire around the lock twist of the ball end. Staying true to Ernie Ball's heritage of superb craftsmanship and sound quality, the 2158 Slinky Acoustic Guitar Strings are made with the finest and freshest raw materials, resulting in a crisp ringing sound with pleasing overtones.

Enhancing the inherent string quality and freshness is Ernie Ball's guitar string packaging. Produced and now hermetically sealed into their packages, Slinky Acoustic strings are exposed to minimal moisture and humidity from factory to retailer-insuring that all Ernie Ball strings are as fresh upon opening as they were the day they were made.

DOESN'T SOUND LIKE ACOUSTIC STRINGS

I gave these strings a try. If you are a seasoned acoustic player with the true sound of a great acoustic in your head, don't buy these strings. They do not even sound like acoustic strings. To me, they sound like electric strings on an acoustic guitar. Too much Jingle and tin can sounding. Does not resonate well and kills the "woody" sound of an acoustic. Also these strings do not have very much volume at all. Perhaps they would be alright if you didn't care how they sound and was only concerned about how long they last. D'Addario EXP's blow any other coated string out of the water in my opinion.

I bought the 2 pack with the free wonder wipe string cleaner, and couldn't be more happy with the tone and feel I get from these strings. I put them on my big baby Taylor, and gave a set to my dad to put on his Collings Acoustic. Both guitars sounded better than with the strings we were using before. Well done EB!

Easy to play, but lacks tone.

These strings are pretty good for bending and playing with in general, but they don't have that strong acoustic tone. I played mine for a month or so and the coating began to corode, whereas with other strings didn't and lasted for three months or so. If you want good playability, then these are suitable, but you're going to have to replace them more often and you won't get the same vibrant tone.

These strings are awesome. They have a very bright powerful tone. It totally changed the way my acoustic guitar sounds. They are also very comfortable to play. Highly recommended. Don't know about how long they last because I've only had them on for about a week but they sound really good.
