These last longer than other brands and have a more balanced tone. The attack and bass response from these is superior to some others I've used. Apparently the materials EB uses are much higher quality than the other brands. You have to stretch them a lot when you first put them on. Ernie Ball really beats the competition by a mile and beats their price too.

I am amazed at the quality of these things. they (surprisingly)sound great. and with care, lasted a very long time.

I have only been playing for around 3 years, but have tryed more strings and picks, than most 20-30 year musicians, on my quest for the perfect tone.

These strings are amazing for drop tuning, I personally love drop c and there perfect for it. Of course if you want to go lower then these strings will definately satasfy you too. They are chrunchy and straight up metal! Another great thing about em is that since the the top strings are a lower gauge it helps me sweep easier. Overall great strings!!!

I love these strings. I purchased them for my ESP MH-400 a month ago and they're probably some of the best strings I've ever come across. They stay in tune through me bending the hell out of 'em and whammying 'em, and that's all I really ask for. Plus like they intended, I have the bendability and playability of the higher strings without sacrificing a heavy bass sound.

Great job, and keep on with the great strings Ernie Ball!

Nice, but not for me...

These strings aren't bad, I guess I'm just used to lower gauged strings. These are AMAZING for drop tunings. The only complaints I have are that they take a LONG time to break in. They also have the tendency to go out of tune faster than I'm used to. This is why I gave 3.5 for quality... Still, if your looking for long lasting strings for drop tunings, try these! They are under $5, you don't really have an excuse not to experiment. ;)
