I have been using these strings for years now . I really like the classic tone i get from them and the feel is awesome. I have found over the years the better guitar player i have become the less i break strings and after the countless sets of these i have never broken a string , not once... and i bend like an old mountain road all the time. Just a great string if you want that special classic tone. Give em a shot on an old strat and you wont be disappointed.

I've always used Ernie Ball strings on my guitars, usually regular slinkys on my Strat, Power Slinkys on my Les Paul and Telecasters. The shop was out of stock of my usuals so I put these on my L.P.to try out-Fantastic classic rock tone through a Marshall. These are my new favorite strings, I wish I'd started using these years ago.

Best for Strats

No other string sounds like these on a Strat and I've tried them all. Not overly bright which is perfect. I change strings about every 10 hours of play so I'm not trying to get 2 years out of them. I've never broken one and I stay away from 9's. Great string for a vintage Fender sound; even tone across the board, good blend of bass to treble with no emphasis on any one string.

Comfortable strings!

I like the way new strings sound but they always seem harder to play the first few hours than after they've been played some.

The best description I can give these strings is that they sound like new string, but play as easily as broken in strings from the moment they're installed.

They survived three weeks of heavy use on my guitar at which point I put on a new set "just becasue."

I'll be using these strings as long as they keep making them.

Great pure nickle strings

I was never a fan of EB strings and have always used GHS or D'Addario 10's. I decided to venture out and try a few new types of strings. Between Fender, Gibson, GHS, and the EB's I really liked the EB's the best(all of which were pure nickle). I have them on a 2005 Gretsch Setzer with TV's going through a Peavey Classic 50. The strings really sing well and I have not broke a string and I know that is a main complaint about these strings. They also seem to last pretty long as well. Some will also complain of this but you have to figure everybody is different (sweat, wiping down strings, playing time). I still have to try the DR pure blues strings but I am pretty set on keeping these on all my guitars for now.
