I was playing EB Super slinkys and my band decided to drop tunings. they jus wouldnt hold the A. so i was researching and found these. decided to buy some and was very pleased with what i got. i threw them on my ESP h-207 and they work perfect in A! we even went down to G# and they still sound good. a little loose but it still kills!

I Found My New String!

These strings are the longest lasting strings I've ever used. I use these strings on my 6 string ibanez RG2EX1 and omit the .38 string. I tune my guitar to C# with a dropped B. B F# B E G# C# And before I stumbled upon these string, I had tried an absurd amount of different sets by a ridiculous number of different companies. It's awesome not to be changin my string every 3 days because they're either breaking (DR) , wearing out way too fast (D'addario, Dunlop, and GHS), or just plain suck (BLUE STEEL). Also. Ernie Ball Strings sound AMAZING with EMG active pickups and with that huge .58 low E (or for the seven stringer, low B) The crunch and the tight botom end is AMAZING! I could NEVER EVER get that nice of a sound out of any string ever. These will be my go-to string. No matter what gauge I want for all of my guitars.

I've been using these for years and i gotta say they're as consistent as any of the more expensive brands i've tried. I put a set on, play them at practice, at shows, in the studio, and they last for months (guess i'm just not a sweaty-handed guy). I've probably gone through 4 sets in the last year and never broke a string. And yes, i do bend them...i play progressive metal and they get a beating, believe me. I used to switch between these and D'addario's, but these are cheaper, and seem to sound brighter, longer. Also, D'addario changed the gauge of one or two of the strings in their heaviest 7-string set..as long as EB doesn't do something dumb like that, i'm stickin with these.

I've been using these for several months for detuning experimentation. Even with frequent tuning changes, these things have not shown any signs of damage. I expect them to last for a good amount of time.

No complaints about the tone, either. It gets the job done.

Of all the strings I've tried, I think these strings are probably the best. I've tried elixirs and D'addario. these had the best tone and longest life. I tune my Ibanez K7 1 full step down and they still sound good. I used to play with 13s but I tried these out and were much better. enjoy.
