Buy Extra High E's and B's

I recommend that anyone who plays guitar a lot buy extra high E strings and B strings since they tend to break the most. I have a 2-pack of whole string Ernie ball string sets, but if the high E and the B strings break the most, I'd better think about buying a 6-pack of each of those single strings.

The only reason I have to buy these single strings is when I replace whole sets of ernie ball reg slinky custom guage strings - at least 1 in every 5 packs seems to have a bad .10 guage- the wrapped end does not hold. I now have 4 packs of new strings I cannot use because I lost the .10 guage do to poor manufacturing. I'm sure these single string replacements will sound fine- if they stay together.

You can never go wrong with Ernie ball strings

Most of the top pro musicians use Ernie Ball and it is obvious why. They are the best and last the longest. I use the same set-up as David Gilmour, gauge wise 10, 12, 16, 28, 38 & 50. You can not buy those strings in a set. He uses Gibson which I have not been able to find in individual strings. Try this set-up on your guitar and you will know why he does.
