A nice pad for quiet practice

This was my first pad; later I bought a Remo. I like them both for different reasons. This one is definitely much quieter, and has realistic rebound. It can be played almost anywhere, either on a flat surface or mounted on a cymbal stand. You won't be disappointed in this one!

Im a drummer in my marching band and its always awsome to work on chops or just to sit and practice and i must say this pad rocks for that! Excellent rebound and doesnt bounce around and is at a perfect volume not to soft or to loud. Id recommend it to any drummer.

This pad is very nice. The gum rubber has the same bounce as a real drum. But beware: if you put it on a cymbal stand, the vibration makes a little noise, but it is still okay with me. Also, while I play hard, my sticks always hit each other- which screws up my timing. But that's probably my fault for getting a 7" instead of something bigger. Overall, a great feeling, reliable practice pad from Evans.

I've had the Evans Apprentice Drum Practice Pad for about 6 months now. it's pretty great to get better at your chops or simply to use if your bored. If your rooming with people that don't want to hear an acoustic set all day like me they will really appreciate you getting this for when your just working on rudiments and things. It's quiet, unless you put it on a vibrating kind of surface. Its small so you can bring it anywhere. Its a great buy :]
