Seems like most of the other reviewers agree...use this tool for removing the heads only. I would recommend using the Evans Torque Key for replacing them.

For use with a drill or battery-powered screw driver (I keep the latter in my drum tool-kit), it will make removing/swapping drum heads a breeze. I also use mine to put the initial 75% of the lug nuts back on, then tighten & tune the rest of the way with a hand key. Buy 3 of these, just in case 1 walks away from your tool kit...

This is a clever idea. BUT, I would only use it for fast drum head changing when loosening the lugs. If you use this on a drill tightening a drum, you can't tune it right, and you'll most likely strip the bolt and lug.

This will cut your head changing time in half! I wouldn't recommend using it to tighten your heads, but for removing them quickly, you can't find a better tool to use. I had all of the heads removed from my 7-piece (top and bottom) in under 5 minutes, ready to have the new heads put on. It's cheap, too! Now all you gotta do is go buy a drill.
