I feel in love with the Evans EC2 heads when they came out a few years back. I was skeptical of trying the EC1 heads because while I love the sound of single-ply heads, their durability falls short under my percussive pounding. With some extra cash I had earned I figured I'd give these a shot. Man, was I surprised by the strength and sound these heads give. They still give that "warm" sound you'd expect from a two-ply head but then there's that lovely high attack of the single-ply mixed in with that warm tone. Add to that the fact this head stands up to some heavy playing and you've got an amazing head!!! Do try!!
