I have been using this in both of my Ludwig kits for over 10 years and just bought one for my new Yamaha Oak kit. I have never had any trouble with them and they sound great.

This thing's AWESOME! I got one of these and a 22" Remo Muff'l ring for Christmas and I made them work beautifully together! Even with my piece of junk batter head (which I'm soon replacing with a clear Remo Powerstroke 3, oh yeah)! When I first put them on I had them both against the batter head, which sounded pretty good, but then I switched this EQ pad to the resonant head side and WOW! It's almost PERFECT! I'm just waiting to get the new batter head I just ordered, then it will be perfect!

I used this in a 24" high end dw bass and it was killer. It creates the perfect low end thump without dampening too much. It also gives a certain sound that makes it sound bigger and badder.

It provides a deep sound but the muffling is kinda dry. there's no deep mellow sound, it's just like a plain "Dum".
