This is great, my bass drum sounded like crap before this and when I got this it sounded like a professional drum and it's a pretty cheap kit. Great job Evans!

I use a coated EQ4 on the resonant side of a vintage Gretsch kit and I love it. It lets the true tone of the drum come out without as many overtones and with a bit less boominess. The coated look is pretty cool - looks gray on stage. I don't care for clear heads on a vintage kit. Coated white would be better, but...

Maybe it's because it came with a patch, but this drumhead's durability is extreme. Not only that, but it sounds awesome. I have a twin-size topsheet folded up inside my bass drum and this sucker has a wild sound to it. Some people like a bass drum to boom. Others like it to thud. I like mine to be a nice happy medium. This little guy gave me just what I wanted. It does have a semi-soft feel to it though. So if you're the double kick speed metal type, it may not be your cup o' tea. I have no plans of changing it anytime soon.
