I recently got this drumhead at guitar center, because my stock resonant bass head was worn-out, sounded dead, and looked kinda weird. I really like this head. I still have my stock batter head on the bass drum, and it seems like my bass is missing something. It could only be the eq3 clear batter, of course. This head just sounds downright awesome. Even without anything in the bass, this resonant head sounds great. You should definitely get this drumhead.

I recently sold my Gammon Percussion set and purchased a nice used 5 piece Tama, and replaced all the heads with Evans heads. This particular head is one that i use on my 20" bass drum, and it is amazing! The sound is almost perfect for recording, and the port hole is good for adding to the sound quality and control. I would highly recommend it!

I've got a closet full of resonant kick heads...all makes and models. And I've tried them all on different drums. A good test of a resonant head is how it sounds when you tap the middle, straight out of the box...unmounted. Most heads just give a dull thump or tight, flappy sound. Some Remos, Aquarians and Evans heads give a decent tone that way, but this one gives a really good low tone when you tap it. It has plenty of material (not tight), with room to flex and has some wobble to it, which is what I want. Hard to get resonance out of a tight, round piece of sealed plastic. Whatever the head sounds like unmounted is a pretty good indication of how it's going to affect your drum's natural resonance. I love it! Price? I don't even remember what I paid...does that really matter if you need pro equipment?
