I too replaced my snare head with one of these and i absolutely love it. it makes even my lowly export snare sound great. so im buying a full set of these for my tom and i hope ill have similar results. great for everything but bass. the aquarian superkick is the way to go there but evans all the way other than that.

I have 12" and 16" toms and I think these are the best heads I bought so far. The tones are great, kinda mellow but bright as well, and they're not extremely loud like some of the cheaper ones I've had before. I bought them at a local music store for 30% off, so I was impressed for what I payed for. I plan to try the Emporor heads next.

I bought this as a replacement for my stock 14" snare head that was WAY to beaten up. I really like the sound. I have it tuned semi-tight, and it sounds great. It's my first REAL snare head, so I can't compare, but it seems really good.

I've been using Evans E2's for almost a year now, and I will never use anything else.

I tune them fairly low (resonate head very loose, and batter head only slightly tighter) they sound great for low sounds, but higher sounds I'm a bit iffy about. They last for ever, and I'm only starting to see a little wear on my 12" head after a lot of use.

I play a kit with 20 inch kick 14 rack tom 16 floor tom. For that Bonham sound with a punchier kick drum. I use G2 coated over G1 clear on toms and they sound great, full of bass and thunder wide open.. But the issue I've had is finding a G2 coated for my 20 inch bass, the web site has them, but no retailers carry them in stock, and even if I do order one, it may not fit on my bass. So I have been using Remo on the kick, they are ok too but I prefer to have all Evans on my kit. So other than that I live these heads.. The coating holds up lots better than remo.. Although remo is a bit warmer.
