I have been using Everlys X Rockers 13-65 guage strings for almost 4 years now. And I have to say they sound great and stay in tune! I tune in drop B so having 65 guage strings are always a plus. They give a nice thick, creamy tone but still give you a nice midrange sound. A little brighter sounding than Dean Markley Blue Steels or GHS Boomers heavy guage strings, which is always nice when tuned low. I cant recall If I ever broke a string with them on my guitar and I tend to play really hard. I recommend this product to any guitarist looking to tune down or to get a thicker tone.

I bought these strings thinking that they would sound better than my medium gage for playing fast heavy riffs. The second I tune them in I notice that something isn't right. My bridge is not flat on the guitar like it should be but is about half bent(the bridge bends toward the neck with the whammy bar)toward the neck and sounds like crap. I didn't know that the strings would have to be wound so tight to get in tune, c tuning, and leaving the bridge bent like that didn't seem like a good idea, so now I have to go get some new ones and I'm out a couple bucks. DO NOT BUY IF YOU AREN'T COMPLETELY SURE YOUR GUITAR CAN HANDLE THESE STRINGS.

These strings sound great on my SG tuned down to B. My one complaint is that the third string is plain wire--not wound--and it sounds and feels dead compared to the other five. I've played much lighter sets that had wound third strings; why Everly insisted on plain metal for this one, I don't know.
