So simple, yet so great

I've always thought these picks had great tone, but due to their hardness and spikey-and-misplaced star grip, I had some concerns. Fast forward to late '09 and the hardness has become high durability (allowing me to more focus on musical creativity and chops honing:Priceless!), and a once 'distant star' has become an effective means for dynamic picking styles.

Yes, this pick has retained the standard flatpick size, shape, and most common gauges(and primary colors too!), but it also provides a very simple means of maintaining a sure grip in having a hole punched completely through it.The hole features 10-points in which to ensure no further unwanted slippage. A Star is born! (Could it next be you?)

A pick that could appear to some as a cheap gimmick has given me tone immeasurable(!), and has also put the fun back in the fundamentals of guitar playing.

If you like to play delicately, or strum-heavy, shred with a purpose, or bust strings left and right - to impress the ladies with your bank account, keep it cordial with these standard shaped and sized, star-born vehicles. The sky's the limit.

not the best...

these picks are a smart idea but they always break or wear down in just a couple of weeks. The edge of the point of the pick always wears down and then gets stuck on the strings. The star shape is a good idea and works well, but it needs to be lower on the pick. The best picks are Dunlop Gators, but thats just my opinion.

I normally use dunlop delrins, but when I play on hot days these picks are perfect. The coating and the star give me the perfect amount of bend and grip. I use the purple 1.14mm picks. The only gripe that I have is that the star should be a bit lower, but that is just me. Buy this pick as you won't be disappointed.

I ran out of orange and yellow star grips a few weeks ago (I lose them) and just haven't had time to get more. I have broken three picks and one string. I'm going to my local retailer tomorrow. I can't play (adequately) without them.

The only constant in an ever-changing world.

I started out playing with Dunlop pick's, and while they're still great, they still have the tendency to spin in my fingers while playing, left or right, especially the more my fingers got greasy. Which is the main reason I don't use plastic pick's at all. Aside from just feeling like garbage in my hands. I found the star picks and never looked back. They give me grip, the coating is the same as the Tortex, they even give a little extra bend because of the hole in the middle. I've even been turning other guitarists onto Everly's. Including Dave from the band Mae, after meeting with him after a show. Would recommend this pick to anyone. :)
