I really like these strings, but they do have their down sides.

Pros- Bright sounding, nice feel and is easy to get used to playing. Don't dig into frets.

Cons- I recently switched from rotosounds. They don't seem to keep their brightness as long as the rotosounds.

I play a Squier P bass and they come with cheep strings. The guitar is really awesome for the price and as a begnner to bass, the pack is a great deal. However, change the string to the Fender original 7150 ML's. Gee, I almost did the Snoopy dance when I heard the difference. Go with the nickel 7150's, you will be very pleased!

The pure nickel originals give the vintage Fender tone and are much easier on the fretwire and your fingers as well. They are not as harsh as the steel core strings and do not pick up as much finger noise (especially with a Jazz Bass)! Better tone for less money. Do the math!
