I'm very disappointed as I was waiting for this black pearloid pickguard to put on my brand new 2009 American Strat HSS bought off here in October 09. The bummer is that I had my whole guitar apart ready to bolt this on when UPS arrived. I first noticed that they refuse to provide the bridge humbucker mount holes. You have to drill them out. Next, This WILL NOT fit the new 2009s. The new strats have HSH routing and the middle position on this new pickguard will not line up with the center pickup. The slot for the middle pickup on this item is about 1/2-3/4" too far up toward the neck pickup. All the bolts align perfectly all around, other than you'd need to route the wood on the body to make this work since the middle pickup slot on this guard is in the WRONG position. Don't' buy if you have the new american standard. I have an email in to Fender to address this fit. I still want the thing on my guitar.
