Cable Unable to Hone on Good Tone

Bought this as a temporary cable to hold me over until my good stuff came in from an order; and I probably should've just waited. This cable is absolutely horrible; moving around a stage will cause massive static, and even rustling the cable at all will cause anyone listening to cover their ears. And that's to speak nothing of the sound; I have no doubt that this cable could suck the good tone out of any rig, of any quality, and make it sound like the intro to Wish You Were Here (not in a good way). Stay away!

I bought this blue cable at a hastings (yes, a hastings) after the guitar shop was closed for the day...the Fender cable that came with my strat had died after a while and I bought this one. I have had no problems and I even gig with it at jazz gigs and that is when tone is very important to me. I am considering adding pedals in so I might buy this again or get a Fender vintage style one and try it also, they are about the same price. I like 'em.

I owned two fender cali cables but they got given to me so I'm not sure if they got badly damaged, but they did conk out after a year, which is expected. I just bought a new mettalic purple 22' cable and it works a gem. Even better are the cable securers.

Worst Cable

This cable is HORRIBLE. I wanted a cheap cable but I didnt want a cheaply made cable. The ends will not stay screwed up tight and fall down with very little movement. Do not waste your money.

Been Through Three of These!

I love Fender. die hard supporter.....but these cables are horrible. I went through three of these around the time i first starting playing and i was trying to find out what equipment that i liked(and also very broke). so seeing the Fender logo i was thinking "these should be great" don't get me wrong the blue cable really does look great, but the sound isn't great. and they short very badly. the first one i had lasted 1 1/2 weeks before it shorted at the end. the second made it 3 months, at first making me think the previous cable was just a fluke. then the second one went out. and beeing low on cash i bought a 3rd and well it lasted 2 weeks. if you want Fender spend a few more bucks on the VintageVolts or if you have it the ElectroVolts. but honestly the best cable i have ever used was actually a Monster cable. they are expensive but worth it.
