These Fender Deluxe Locking Tuners are a great product. They WILL IMPROVE the tuning stability of your Strat (after some adjustments to the bridge) and they make string changing a breeze. I was fairly disappointed that these DO NOT feature the Fender "F" logo on the locking wheel as pictured, which was the primary reason I chose these over the less expensive Sperzel Locking tuners (which I have on my Epiphone Les Paul and LOVE). But I guess it's a minor annoyance ... they still look great and were an exact drop in replacement for the stock tuners on my 07' MIM Strat. (The Sperzels required drilling and reaming on the headstock)

The 3 treble-string tuner holes are filled with chrome! I wish I had discovered that before I installed them (and back when I bought them). So far I have been unable even to drill the chrome out. Seems like a major quality-control oversight. Advice: Inspect them before you install them. On the plus side, they were easy to install on a strat knockoff--no adjustments needed (other than clearing the chrome out of the holes!)

I love these tuning machines! I recently bought a Squier Telecaster and was blown away by its quality, feel, and sound but the tuning machines were NOT good and made the guitar difficult to tune. So, I bought these and installed them myself. A little drilling was involved but not a problem. Now the Telecaster is perfect. These tuners make tuning the guitar a breeze and they turn smooth and easy. These are a great upgrade if your guitar needs better tuning machines.

I just bought a set of these to upgrade my '98 Am Std. Haven't needed to retune her for a week, and I play hard! Super stable, worth every penny.

Let me set the tone for my review. WOW!

I play many genres but with my band primarily Viking/Black/Death Metal. I use many shred techniques and also like to add some heavy trem use and full step bending vibrato for flavor during solos. I own an American Standard Strat and for the longest time I've been envious of friends and band mates with locking nut type tremolos(Floyd Rose and Ibanez style ZR trems) that never come out of tune! I wanted to make my guitar play similarly without drilling a locking nut into my Strat and fitting a new trem, spending loads of money, or creating a higher chance of string breakage during a show. (typical of nut locking trems)

I tried everything to get my floating trem to work well and stay in tune, I got a graphtech nut, string tree and saddles, grover rotomatics, Graphite lube on the nut, and even tried playing with a heavy set of Fender's "Bullet" strings. However none of them came close to the excellent results that these have given me. I can divebomb and tweak chords all night with these and I don't have any tuning issues. They were a drop in replacement to my Strat and required only a new set of strings one wrench and 10 minutes to install. Also, changing strings is much quicker. Just pull the strings through the post holes, tighten the thumb screw, stretch out your new strings, and tune to pitch.

I can't recommend these more to players looking for tuning stability up to live performance spec, or anyone who doesn't enjoy re-tuning after every song. Site delivered fast and flawless. :)
