I replaced the origional Pups in my 1990 American Precision bass with the Fender Origionals. The stock Pups were'nt bad but I was looking for a little more punch and a little more dirty sounding midrange. I was also searching for a pickup that would boost my bass' output level without sacrificing tone.

I tried a couple of my friends p-basses and some at a guitar shop to get a feal for the different Pickups available in todays market and I kept comming back to these pickups. They did exactly what I wanted them to do. That is, they had a greater output and a punchy, gritty, midrange to go with it. I play any thing that gets me moving or puts money in my wallet. These Pups help me do both of those tasks.

The Pickups were manufactured with considerable care and quality materials. The solder joints were strong and neat, the enamel coated wire winding was nice and neat, and the ground plates were constructed with a durable and promising build also.

These are standard issue on any precision bass that I own now, or will own in the future. If you want the classic Fender Precision sound and dont want to spend an outrageous ammount of money on the real thing these are the best bang for your bucks.

I spent years looking for a mid 70s P-Bass at the right price after making the biggest mistake and selling my '74' 25 years ago. When I found it, it had Di Marzio's in it, Can't afford to put true vintage pickups in it so I bought a pair these baby's. I finaly had the sound I'd been looking for for the last 5 years. Best investment I could have possibly made.

I had these bad boys put in my ESP LDT B-50, along with a seymour duncan jazz bridge pickup. and lemme tell you, these things are great for anything, from funk to metal, and I've played it all on it. It gives some of the best tones I've ever heard from my little bass, it is worth every cent, you won't regret buying these.
