For a vintage bluesy tone or even Hendrix studio tone on a vintage pickup-ed Strat these are the babies. Beside the tone, these feel and bend nicely. I uses these on two strats with Fender reissue 62 pickups and the sound is just perfect. I keep trying others (even putting sets on for an hour and ditching them) and took recommendations from one major high end music store but these aways sounded and felt right.

If you own a Strat you are doing yourself an injustice if you don't try a set of these. I play the bullet ends on my main strat and the ball ends on the hardtail strat and tele. Great vintage Fender ventage tone.

It took me an hour too put these strings on because i kept losing my hex key for the floyd rose, but when i finally got them working they sound great. i'm kind of scared for the top one to break again, but if you play blues or old rock then i'd suggest these. they're not going to give you a kicka$$ metal sound, but they're going to give you a super kicka$$ blues sound :D

I made the mistake of using steel wound strings on my Strat. Then I had the frets dressed and decided steel strings, while they sound great and last a long time, are too detrimental to my frets.

I switches to the nickel wound Regular Bullets and the frets seem to last much longer. The 3150’s offer a nice clean Fender tone when fresh. I usually get 2 gigs out of a set, which is remarkable. After that they tend to go dead.

I ‘yard’ on these strings pretty hard without breakage as long as I stick with the 2-gig routine. If you play a Strat and you’re breaking them with less ‘mileage’ on them, check your saddles for signs of electrolysis. You will probably have to use a magnifying glass. I recommend the Graphtech String Saver Saddles to solve that problem.

I am here today looking to buy a box of 3150's.
