I own 8 of these cases. 3 that are only a few months old. The rest are a few years old to about 10 years old. The quality on all are very similar. These are really nice cases. Fit/finish can vary a bit, but overall they are pretty consistent. The one thing I would change is I would use stronger/better spring latches. I also own a few of the Fender molded cases. They do a good job, but just don't have the wow factor these do.

It's a great case. Well built. Good looking. Holds the guitar exceptionally well. But you really get stung by the price. Granted it's made in the USA, but I get the feeling these are still overpriced for what they are.

Now maybe there have been a couple of people out there that got a case that slipped by the guys in Quality Control, but my question is this: Why didn't you send it back?!?! I'm not spending my hard earned green on inferior equipment, and that's why I bought this case. I got the Deluxe Tweed with an absolutely gorgeous red interior, and this one houses my Teal Green Metallic Lonestar Strat, and I have no worries. None. I had a Fender molded plastic case, which didn't have enough room in the little extra's area, and also, having those metal strips around the rim made me nervous. Sooner or later, you're going to get careless putting your guitar into one of those cases, and then you'll have a scratch/ding/chip in your nice guitar. That won't happen with the Deluxe model, because there is no metal rim to whack your axe on. Besides, it looks retro-fabulous!! I'm getting 2 more, for my other lonestar strat, and my Tele!

I love this case.I got both the black/blue and black/red plush interior. Both my Fender deluxe and my Lone star strat sits like a sultan "minus the belle dancers". This guitar case can go toe to toe with the Les Paul Gibson case. Beautiful plush interior, even my wifes jewelry box does'nt even come close. I like the covered side pockets, so I don't have to left my guitar to get my things "a lot easier". Guys/Gals if you like your Fender Stats to go on road with style. This is the case for you.
