i love these pickups but some who had problems with them or own them and had to go through the hassle of the wiring sheet they give you, please note i called fender they sent out the wrong wiring sheet in a majority of them so you can either contact them or use the fender american deluxe pickgaurd sheet. That is the same wiring they use with the vintage noiseless. Besides that best pickups i've ever had.

Placed a set in my Custom Shop 1966 reissue as well as a Vintage 62 Hot Rod Strat. I am very pleased with overall performance. Nice clean as well as over-driven Blusey tones when played in a distortion channel on a Huges and Kettner Amp. *** One thing to note: You will need to play with the hight adjustment of each pickup to find the sweet spot for each. Each Strat needed a different hight adjustment! Overall they give the tones of a Texas Special pickup set as opposed to a clean 50's type Strat Sound. If you are into Blues, Blues-Rock, Classic Rock type tones you can get there with these pups!

These came in my Fender Eric Clapton strat. They just didn't give me the tone I desired. I tried numerous times to adjust them myself to get the sounds I wanted yet I couldn't get the right sound out of them. I swapped these out for the Gold Lace Sensors (in all 3 positions). I plan on using the neck and middle pickups for my Squier HSS strat project (along w/a Gibson Burstbucker for the bridge). I plan to sell the bridge pup to my guitar teacher. But in the EC strat they do not do the trick.

I dropped these in my '83 Peavey T-26 a few years ago, and it transformed the guitar. No hum, no matter where I play and with no additional shielding. Great upgrade at little cost.

I installed these on my MIM fender strat and initially hated the sound. This is because I followed directions on the fender site as to pickup height. DO NOT FOLLOW FENDER specs on the pickup height or you will not be happy. After lowering the pickup height, using specs from online forums elsewhere, my strat sounds great. I love the super clean single coil sounds without the noise. This is why you want a fender strat in the first place. That lovely classic clean sound. I am going to install these vintage noiseless pickups on my other two strats also.
