I dropped these in my '83 Peavey T-26 a few years ago, and it transformed the guitar. No hum, no matter where I play and with no additional shielding. Great upgrade at little cost.

I installed these on my MIM fender strat and initially hated the sound. This is because I followed directions on the fender site as to pickup height. DO NOT FOLLOW FENDER specs on the pickup height or you will not be happy. After lowering the pickup height, using specs from online forums elsewhere, my strat sounds great. I love the super clean single coil sounds without the noise. This is why you want a fender strat in the first place. That lovely classic clean sound. I am going to install these vintage noiseless pickups on my other two strats also.

I installed these for a customer, and each pick up only had 3" of wire. I had to solder on more wire on the neck and mid. pick up. then the schematic said 3 1 meg audio pots. well fender blew it again and gave me 2 1 meg's, and one 500k? how could they not give you enough lead on the pick ups? these were new in the box. then they send a wrong pot? I had to charge the customer extra for the extention of the wire and 5 bucks for the correct pot. he was looking at me like i was the retard that didnt know what i was doing but it was fender.

fenders quality control has completely left the ball park. their new products are not up to par with the fender name. I will NEVER buy a new fender product unless they get their act together.

the only thing i will give them is they are very quiet humbuckers.

Purchased these to replace the stock pickups on my Mexican-made 50's Reissue which were uninspiring. Installed these and it has completely unlocked the guitar's potential. Crisp, clear Strat tones and extremely quiet. They also sound great overdriven. The fact that they come with 3 pots and components for a treble bleed system makes these an excellent value.

These give a classic strat sound, maybe a little crisper. They have that classic quack that may like, and also give distinct tonal changes as you move the 5 way switch. The wiring diagram was useless so I used the one for the Deluxe Strat on the fender page, and that worked well. I play every week with a guy who has a 68 Strat, and when I brought my MIM in with these he was blown away and wanted to buy it from me. They are quiet, but when boosted into a high gain setting you may still get some noise, so don't look for metal out of these. It'll do classic rock, blues and clean stuff great, but who uses a strat for metal anyway. The fact that it comes with the pots, caps, and resistors is great that's why I gave such high marks on the features. I know there have been some that have been DOA so I gave it a 4 in the qual section. Value, all pickups should be more reasonably priced.
