I think this strings are fantastic. When compared to regular ghs boomers they are brighter and fuller sounding. They also last about a week or two longer then most uncoated strings. Ive used elixers, and ernie ball coated strings, and the David Gilmours are the best. They last a long time and are half the price of a coated string that wouldn't sound half as good. Give these strings a try and see, hear, and feel the differnce. Also try the GHS fast fret stick. It really helps to optimize the life and feel of the strings.

these strings has a perfect gauge balance for great tones and playability in my fender strat that i never believed.

I had sold my Strat a few months back, and recently now own a Tele. When I first needed to replace the strings, I bought some D'Addario .009 sets, at a local dealer.

Needless to say, there was nothing special about the tone, and I also had problems with the D string(of all strings, oddly enough)breaking on two of the sets. This was not working, and it was obvious that a change was in order.

In the past I had used .0095 GHS sets on my guitars, and never had problems. So, was getting ready to order some, and then this new GHS Gilmour sets appear.

Hmmm....might as well try them once just to see, especially with them being on special. As it turns out, they were more than what I expected.

The tone is nice and crisp. But the real test was using overdrive and distortion....the strings make all the difference in the world!

It's not just hype. These strings are excellent! Get them!

I've played with many different styles of GHS boomers and upon playing with these I could tell Dave knows what he wants! these strings bend like butter and hold their tone! just try to play "Shine on" and you'll see what I mean...
