Made a world of difference in drop tuning

These makes my epi les paul classic sound as close to a 7-string as a 6-string guitar can get. I was a little put off by how thick they were at first, but when I plugged in and tuned it to drop-C, (which usually sounded to low/sloppy,) and it sounded amazing (but evem still a little high.) Right now I have it in drop-A with a lot of gain, I can't believe they made such a huge difference. I've had them on for about 10 minutes, the only problem I have is that upstokes are awkward when I'm sweeping or alternate picking, but I think I'll overcome that once I get used to it.

Loud, roaring, plain mean strings!

I was wowed when I threw these on. Clarity, definition, but most of all, a booming bottom end that's great for chugging rhythm. Don't worry, the high strings still sound good, but these are really for just all-out destruction and loads of potent gain. Check these babies out!

These string were on the market as Zakk Wylde sets gbzwlo, then they were pulled off, I was worried about what I would do, but then they were re-released under the moniker HeavyWeights ... Thank You GHS for having these beasts, and Thank You Musicians Friend for carrying them, I wouldn't use anything else on my baritone but the GHS Heavyweight Boomers Custom Lo-Tune

The .070" barely fit through the tuning peg on my jackson kvx10! the GHS website says these are designed for A to A standard tuning on a 25" scale so dont buy these if you are only tuning down 1 or 2 steps. I am tuned down 2 steps, sometimes to drop Bb, and the action is REALLY high and the floyd rose system does not help. the bridge is flush and the two allen screws are as low as they can go. im not going to turn my truss rod the 3 complete turns it probably needs because im putting on normal strings in a few weeks.

id only recommend using these on a real baritone that is tuned A to A or lower. If you are only going to drop C, 10-52s are fine so dont use these.

The answer to our PROBLEMS!

My Band tunes down to B-Gb-B-E-Ab-Db and regular strings don't cut it. We were looking into these string sets and found our holy grail. The super heavy low strings handle the slack well and the upper strings allow speed and definition in the Leads.

Bottom Line: If you go LOW then go with ZAKK
