This should be called a Shure mic case. When I went to load my Sennheiser mics, I found the foam cutouts were about a 1/2" too short. The mics still load but the fit is not ideal. I was expecting something more generic. This thing is definitely made for SM58 style mics.

This is the best VALUE hard case, but not the BEST case. Cheaper is better if you will be using this case for only a couple years. If you plan to be a roadie for four or more years, don't get this case because I doubt it will endure.

I own two of these Gators, using them for Shure SM58s and 57s. Was pleased with everything except the interior padding. Foam padding along top of case is good, so is padded sides around each mic. However the foam padding along the bottom of case (by bottom I mean when you lay the case on a table, flat, to open it, the part that touches the table) is about 1/4 inch thick. You can hear the "thud" of the mic against the plastic when you set it in the case, even gently.

If you're on a tight budget and a short-term timeline, like me, this case is an affordable hard case, and better than a soft case.

If you can spend a little bit more, have expensive mics to protect, or need longer lasting durability, go with SKB. SKB cases really do give you a much better durability and quality, and are well worth the financial investment.

This little case adds a great professional finishing touch in addition to being wonderful protection for your mikes. It is very sturdy, handy case that looks great. The cutouts perfectly fit an SM-58 type mike, which in my case means a set of Behringer XM-8500's that also fit like a glove. It is a little pricy, but a high quality product.

I'm using a Sm58 and (2) Sp-5 mics presently. I'm looking for a hardcore heavy-duty case for a good price. I think $**** man you can't beat it. I'm on a budget and 6-space is good so I'll pick this one up at a clearance center soon. Go for it for this price, it beats the heck out of a foam padded bag. Vocals baby!!!
