Zipper kills GREAT bag

Breaks my heart to say anything bad about this very cool bag (I love how 100lb me can move a 70lb powered speaker without breaking a sweat) BUT, within a few months of using the case 2x a month, the zipper broke!

The zipper's teeth broke off on the bottom edge, and the other teeth unraveled, leaving the bottom of the rolling case completely open. Using the top zipper pull, I can close the case on the top near the handle and the front, so it's still functional, but it's only a matter of time that the zipper fails on the front as well.

It's also a mistake that the bottom side of the bag, which sits in the dirt when I'm rolling the case to and from the van, is not protected or reinforced. So it's getting filthy.

My band purchased a couple of these bags to protect our Behringer B215 cabs. The cabs fit snug in the bag (there are removable velcro attached pads you can take out if you have a larger cab). I was very happy with them, until they ripped. Yes, both of the bags have ripped. Both bags ripped on the fabric near the handles. The luggage style wheels/handle are the best and will save you a lot of back strain. I only rated them as average because I think for the price, they shouldn't rip. We still use them ripped because they still work, but for how much longer we do not know.

I own five of these bags. Four for speakers and one for cables, mic stands and all the items needed for my solo gig. They are lightweight but yet bullet proof. You'll be proud you bought it and at this price, how can you go wrong?

Excellent protection & convenient rolling transport for all JBL EON (15) series speakers. It will easily accomodate Mackie 450, and other similar speakers from Behringer, Peavey, and EV. It does not fit the Peavey 15" molded speakers (which are wider/deeper than most). The retractable-handle rail also adds additional protection and makes rolling up/down steps easier. Two years of use with a powered Eon-15 sub and/or Peavey PM12 and no problems, tears, or lost wheels.

I recieved a Gator GPA 700 speaker bag for Christmas! The bag is very well constructed. It holds an American Audio DSLP 15 speaker. The problem seems to be overall size. I got the speaker in the bag and I got it zipped closed, but it wasn't easy! The band I Play with has Peavey PR 15's and Crest Audo spekers with 15" woofers and horns. I don't think they would fit into this bag. I think a 12" speaker cabinet would work great. Gator might need to look at making the bags a little wider, longer, and higher to accomodate the speakers they are intended for.
