My guitar didn't fit....

This case won't fit my Epiphone Hummingbird, the case is too short. Not to mention the headstock doesn't completely shut when latched, even with nothing in the case. It is still open enough for water to get in. I travel full-time, so I had to return this case.

made it to outer mongolia

Bought the case to take a little martin to mongolia to sing to my girlfriend before I proposed to her. Four flights, 10,000 miles, land on a dirt runway - and the guitar made it just fine. Now - I agree that my full size martin is a snug fit (but fits wonderfully), so I would have worried a bit because there is a little give if you were to, say, stand on the flat side of the case. But with the little one I just packed t-shirts around and under it so there was some nice padding and a little wiggle room. To me the quality is great but there were some small fit/finish issues so what I would say is that if you're real particular or freak out easily get yourself a more expensive case. But for the price, this case was AMAZING for me, and got my guitar to outer mongolia and back - safely. So I would definitely recommend the case. And btw - she said yes. :)

I bought this case back when it first...

I bought this case back when it first came out a couple of years ago with the intention to use it for air travel.

I own a vintage D-28 Martin and will probably never trust this case to transport the guitar on an airline. The case has a slight gap near the headstock where water, dust, etc can enter. Also, I did my own test and pushed hard on the case exterior and believe that if a guitar were inside....damage would occur because I am able to push and indent far enough to where the guitar top would or could crack or break.

Its a good case otherwise but NOT for air travel.
