Weak, Sagging Plastic

Have an 8 space rack with nothing heavy on top - my amp is on the bottom. Quite a sag to the top after a couple of years. SKB plastic is MUCH tougher. I will say one thing - after loading in and out of several thunderstorms - these are waterproof.

I received this case, opened the box and the top was caving in and it was brand new. It had a locking mechanism with a key, however no key was needed to defeat the lock. (Maybe they could have knocked a few bucks off by not placing the lock on it in the first place) The molded plastic is thin and flimsy. I could see right away that this case was not road worthy. If you would like to utilize that "lifetime warranty" by continuously having to get the item repaired or replaced then this would be the item for you. Made in China and very poor quality! Yes...GATOR cases are made in China!

I have a 4rack space and have had it for 5 year. I use it to house my Crest Audio CPX1500 amp and have had no problems with it.

this case is hardly 'deluxe'. It is entirely mediocre, it provides almost no protection from falls, bumps, etc. The handles make carring it a PAIN, we have a 6 and 8 space rack and just replaced them with one rolling 12 space one...not a good buy.
