Good idea, cheaply done

It is cheaply made with poor latches, weak hinges, tiny screws, breakable feat and plastic wheels. Yet, you have to consider that for most of us who carry our own guitars locally, and treat our gear with some care, most of that is not a problem. You also are effectively getting two cases for the price of one good one. OK...

Here' my gripe that no one has mentioned yet. In the effort to save space and possibly to make the case more center-balanced when carried by the side-handle, they designed the cavities to hold the two guitars opposite of each other. That wouldn't necessarily be a problem for protection, but it makes the case top-heavy when trying to roll it. The wheels on the end would be a great idea IF they had considered a basic law of physics: Top heavy things are MUCH harder to handle. The user bears most of the weight at the top and that isn't good for your wrist or fingers right before a gig, or anytime for that matter. Take this thing for a long roll through an airport or through a crowded lot at an outdoor festival? Your arm will be sore!

Over Thirty Flights - BUT Many Repairs!

I bought this case and have watched it fall apart piece by piece from the very first use. I use it only for fly-away gigs. It is serviceable, but somewhat flimsy! The first flight yielded a missing end foot, a two bent latches, and easily torn covering. Next flight was the same. Second foot gone, more racked latches, and more tears. It was already beat up looking. Since then I have made numerous repairs and extra latches. The case is simply racked and will not remain closed without extra strapping. If you buy this case you absolutely MUST BUY at least TWO luggage straps or your guitar(s) WILL be eating the floor. Unfortunately, this is not a perfect solution either. I have had the straps ripped off by the luggage conveyors. Standing at the airport watching your Telecaster's neck sticking out of the case is NOT amusing. I am looking for a replacement.

I agree with the other reviews, this case makes life SO much easier. And yes, the latch screws are a problem. I contacted Gator customer service and they replaced my latches. The second time it happened, they gave me a brand new case. How can you NOT like customer service like that?

I would buy one again...actually, I am going to buy a second one for my PRSi.

A wonderful case for the price...Well built and a plush lining which cradles both strats znd teles with love. Solid and great for basic travel; don't expect it to survive the airline baggage system, but it is making my life a TON easier!!
