I used to sell GEORGE L's cables 31 years ago in my music store in WY. I ordered a kit that had 200 right and straight ends and 500 feet of cable. Sold the whole thing out in less than a month. I've had some of the original cable since then --- they last, sound great easy to use, Been using them for 31 years.

After using livewire premade cables I decided to cut my own. So I bought these (the right-angle connectors) and wired my board up...no sound...went back traced it to a couple bad cuts...re-cut and reconnected...worked great, sounded great...

week later, no sound...traced, re-cut, reconnect, back in business

days later...you guessed it, no sound...

I went out and got planet wave 90 degree solderless and replaced all the george l's with planetwaves and have NEVER had a problem with them...a 2 year old can make these easy connections...

dont let them fool you, george l's are very difficult to cut right and connect and they are unreliable...planetwaves cost less, sound just as good, and are easy and reliable...

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON GEORGE L'S

George L's are simply the best for any cable application. Anyone who has been playing for 40 years as I have can say this with qualification. All you have to do is take the time to make them properly and you will never have any problems. I have been using the same George L cables for about 12 years!!! The pedalboard kits are a quality product for sure.

If you are like me, then you must be doing a whole lot of research on your gear. More research on gear than on your school work. Hmmm let's see... Pre-made patch cables or solder-less cables with provided jacks either right angle or straight angle with more than enough cable to measure to your needs... A 5 year old can do this. Just follow the directions word for word and you're done...

This is the best solution to a clean and professional pedal board because you won't have any extra cable sticking out or all over the place because you measure and cut the length of the cable yourself.

If you don't have a pedal board I guess you can stick to patch cables that are ready made and fixed length (6in., 12in., or 18in.), but George L's is where it's at.

It made my life easier. If the cable goes bad just remove the plug cut the bad part of the wire out, reconnect the plug and you're ready to go.

I play every weekend and then some. I was having serious issues with intermittent tone and volume loss. I was able to trace it to my pedal board and it turned out to be my "off the rack" pre-made patch cables. I bought the George L kit and "problem solved" have not had an issue since. My tone is true and stays that way. They have not failed me yet. If one were to fail just remove the plug, clip the wire and re-install the plug. They are very simple to make and you can make them the exact length you need. No soldering. Cleans your board up nice.
