I bought these snares as an, but I think I got the set that are in the picture on the website (notice the poor quality of the snares in that picture). The snares I received were uneven and noisy in all the wrong ways. They are way cheaper than Pure Sound snares, so I am not out much money. They may work better if you are lucky and get a good set. I recommend spending the good money up front to make sure you get a perfect product.

I bought these because I didn't want to spend a lot of money on the Gretsch ones. First off I don't know why people buy these only to tighten them so much that you choke the snare. If you want to do that without worrying that the snares will break buy the 20 strand. I put these onto my 14inch Supraphonic, it gives a nice fat tone. I tighten them so you can still get the snare sound but also the roundness of the snare. All in all they're real awesome if you want a nice fat tone for your snare

These wires are amazing once you tighten them against the bottom so tight that you might fear they will break.. Im not sure why but for at least an hour they were rattling like crazy! But when I finished tightening them to a point were no rattle was left, i was left with a very loud tight pop thats amazing!, and their very sensitive to the hit... Buy these but PRAY they wont snap on you!

simply put, this set of snares are amazing. Great sound and not too much interference from the other drums on your kit.

The wires break off too quickly but it sounded great, too bad it didn't last long.
