A piece like that comes really handy, so I bought it. It does the trick, but when I took it off I realised my stand was all dented. Now I can't lower that stand because the dent enlarged the diameter of the top post. Anyway, I don't recommend it unless you put some rubber or whatever between this and your hardware.

yeah it's cool, and has a nice grip, but it has damaged everything I put it on, some rubber would be nice.

This clamp gets the job done, but it isn't perfect. I have to tighten the wing nuts after every 3 or four times I play because it has a tendency to slide around. Still, it will attach to almost any pipe and for the price you can't really be too sorry if it isn't perfect.
