I've had all kinds of snare drums, including the premium-priced ones, and this is right up there with the best throwoffs I've ever used. Heavy duty die cast, smooth as silk and secure (won't unlatch itself). It'd be nice if Gibraltar would advertise the hole spacing on their throwoffs and end butts. This one has 1.5" vertical spacing. It would also be great if they would include an isolation gasket. I put one of these on a 4.5" (PDP called it 5") thick snare shell and this throwoff didn't stick out from the shell and hoops far enough to work without a thick gasket/spacer I had to fabricate out of some rubber material as I had seen some manufacturers do. Great price, great value.

I have finally upgraded from my piece-of-crap snare throw. When I recieved this, it was way more than in the picture. It is extremely durable, and at a very good price. please buy this.
